Title: Disseminate Knowledge to Empower and Inform! About: My senior project involved research into the school to prison pipeline and inequity in education. My partner and I crafted a class at Cal Poly in which students can teach what they are learning in school at the local juvenile hall in San Luis Obispo. This involved setting up meetings with faculty at Cal Poly and those in charge at Restorative Partners. We also came up with a syllabus, week by week schedule, learning outcomes of the class, and suggested readings and activities for both the professor teaching the class and students taking the class. The class should be proposed later this year. Show less
