I was injured in 2011 and was medically retired, due to my injuries, in 2013. I worked as an IT network engineer. My role was to stand-up and maintain the infrastructure devices to include the servers, switches, routers, UPS, and backup devices. I managed networks on 3 different levels of security classification with the highest being a TS/SCI network. I was the networks work center supervisor, managing a staff of 11 sailors and civilians. My role was as the head Master Electrician. I created and inspected electrical work orders within our plant and also several other commercial properties owned and managed by Marvin’s. Once the work was completed and I inspected it I would contact the state electrical inspector to have him come up and inspect the work. I had a crew of 5 licensed electricians that worked for me. Along with creating the work orders I also created and edited blueprints using AutoCAD. When I entered a new work order I would include a set of blueprints for how the electrical for that job should be installed. Once the work was completed, I would update the master blueprint so we always had an accurate print of our plants electrical system. This included how the conduit was routed, where j-boxes were located, and the number of wires in each pipe and their circuit numbers. Show less
