Senior Director of Environmental Health & Engineering Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills: • Overall responsibility for the Cherokee Nation Office of Environmental Health and Engineering, the largest Title V OEH&E Program in the nation. • Providing planning and direction for a staff of approximately 35 within the Environmental Health and Engineering and Sanitation Facilities Construction Programs at Cherokee Nation. • Engaging communities and coordinating projects within the Cherokee Nation 14 county jurisdictional area. • Meeting with Federal & State partners such as the Environmental Protection Agency, USDA Rural Development, Indian Health Services, Bureau of Reclamation, Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Commerce and numerous others. • Representing Cherokee Nation OEH&E at seminars, workshops and conferences across the United States. • Management of 8 Federally and Tribally funded budgets totaling $19.3 Million. • Regular reporting to Cherokee Nation Administration and Tribal Council on the status of projects and budgets. • Successfully implemented the wSTARS and WebEHRS programs within OEH&E. • Imported approximately 54,000 reportable homes into the HITS data system from various Federal and Tribal data sources. • Actively managed approximately 224 facilities in WebEHRS. • Direct services to approximately 400 individual service requests per year. • Utilize data from the wSTARS and WebEHRS system to set goals and objectives for the program. • Coordinated with other Self-Governance Tribes within the Oklahoma City Area on best practices and methods for implementing wSTARS. • Provide guidance to the Tribal Self Governance Advisory Committee on OEH&E matters. • Proficient with ESRI GIS Software products, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, Trimble GPS and AutoCAD software.
