During my Army service I served under several First Sergeants however, when I think of a US Army First Sergeant I immediately think of Billie Gladney. Billie always led by example and demanded the best out of each soldier in his unit. Billie encouraged, inspired and molded me into a great soldier and later a Non Commissioned Officer in the US Army. Billie is a persistent leader and trainer that instills confidence in his entire TEAM. In the US Army we have the NCO Creed which all of it defines Billie and his leadership style and capabilities. The following sentence is just one of many in the NCO Creed that reminds me of his stellar leadership and commitment to the mission.
