  Commissioner Bill Bathurst is a graduate of Atlantic High School, Palm Beach State College and earned his Bachelor of Science Diploma from the University of Florida where he majored in Public Relations and Marketing. Upon graduation, he held a number of brand management and marketing positions with several Fortune 500 firms. Mr. Bathurst has more than 25 years of broad-based leadership experience at both executive and entrepreneurial levels with key responsibilities in consumer marketing and brand strategy. After a successful career in Brand and Business Unit Management, he and his family relocated back to Delray Beach where he has a large extended family, which includes his Grandfather, a local pioneering farmer, agribusiness-man, and contractor. Since returning to Delray Beach, Bill has been a strong advocate for the local technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He is an active Civic Leader who supports the community in its efforts to grow, yet maintain the Village by the Sea feel. Prior to serving on the Commission, he served on the several boards and committees including the Historic Preservation Board, Congress Avenue Task Force, Human Powered Delray, Palm Beach State College Dean's Advisory Board, District Chairman Boy Scouts Of America, and the Delray Beach Historical Society. On the commission, Mr. Bathurst plans to utilize his deep knowledge of Delray Beach and his decades of Corporate leadership experience to craft and achieve a citizen-driven vision for the future of Delray. Most recently Mr. Bathurst has been the Managing Broker of Golden Bear/NV Realty where he has built a thriving real estate business.
