DUSD (AS&C) Joint Distance Support & Response Advance Concept Technology Demonstration Technical Manager: I provided planning, budgeting and coordination for a program team from different DoD Services (Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force), Academia and Industry to take the concept of online collaboration and distance training across DoD.NAVSEA Distance Support Program Office Technical Manager: Developed and implemented a Navy wide Net-Centric support system. Because of the enormity of the task, communication and negotiation at executive leadership and working levels were critical to the program’s success.Director of Fleet Engineering Support Department: I was a department manager for electronics repair, depot support and maintenance technology for Naval ships. The department consist of three maintenance and prototyping facilities, several storage buildings with over 60,000 square feet, $95 million worth of equipment and a $21 million a year operating budget. The operation is ISO-9002 certified. One of my accomplishments was the introduction of a production operational digital environment into the manufacturing process. As department head, I established business performance metrics, personnel development, marketing and strategic planning.
