As Organizing Pastor, I have worked to plant a church with a group of people that had left a PC(USA) church to affiliate with the EPC. Our vision has been to establish a Gospel-centered ministry with strong small group infrastructure. In six years we have reached to people in our surrounding community, relocated to leased space, developed a solid Children’s Ministry, and survived the challenges of planting a church ministering each week to a variety of people that call Christ Covenant home. • Minister "Without Call"
      • May 2006 - May 2009

Minister "Without Call" is our term in the EPC for a minister who is not serving in a called position - like the pastor of a local church. When my time at Grace Community Church was completed, I was able to find secular employment with the CPA firm Dixon-Hughes in their IT department. Though officially "Without Call," I was able to be actively involved in a range of ministry activities.-- Supply Preaching-- Successfully complete assessment process for church planting in the EPC.-- Short-term mission trip to Lucaya Presbyterian Church in Freeport, Bahamas-- Lead Sonship Seminar at Montreat Presbyterian Church-- Memeber of the Church Development Committee of the EPC Presbytery of Mid-Atlantic-- Teaching Elder Commisisoner to EPC General Assemblies

    • Pastor of Ministries
      • Jun 2003 - Apr 2006

Grace Community Church and the preaching of Dave Desforge were central to the "Gospel Renaissance" that deeply altered my life and ministry. I was thankful for this season to serve as a staff pastor there - overseeing staff development and oversight, small gorup ministry, new member assimilation, pastoral care and IT. My position was completed with several projects and then consolidated with a staff restructure, and so ended on good terms.http://www.graceinfo.org/ Grace Community Church and the preaching of Dave Desforge were central to the "Gospel Renaissance" that deeply altered my life and ministry.
