Over the past two years, we collaborated on building deep innovation capabilities within Adidas North America through initiatives like the adidas Group Innovation Academy—one of the world’s largest corporate Massively Online Open Courses (MOOCs). This was a complex, technology-driven, multi-stage change effort and Bill was an enormously valuable thought partner and co-architect. Above all, I was impressed by Bill’s heartfelt commitment to the mission of making innovation everyone’s job, and by his ability to orchestrate a multi-faceted change effort involving thousands of people in multiple locations.
