Carole is a very dedicated person in regards to the safety of the big cats species. I had the blessing of finding her to report a traveling zoo that my husband was working for, my husband called me and told me how they were being taken care of while out on the road. I presently reside in Ohio to which Big Cat Rescue was able to step in a bless some big cats into a new caring surroundings and getting the much needed vet care they need, especially the 13 yr old tiger named Teisha.

I founded BigCatRescue.org with my daughter, Jamie Veronica on 11/4/1992 with the rescue of a bobcat named Windsong. This sanctuary has rescued more than 250 lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, snow leopards, clouded leopards, cougars, bobcats, servals, caracals, bobcats, ocelots, fishing cats, jungle cats, leopard cats, and hybrid cats, as well as more than 750 domestic cats and kittens. In 2019 we opened the world's first Augmented Reality Zoo at the Westfield Citrus Park Shopping Center to illustrate how zoos of the future can engage and inspire without holding exotic cats captive.

Windsong the bobcat 1992-2010 was the true founder of this sanctuary as she opened my eyes to the abuses being suffered by exotic cats and compelled me to begin a quest to end the trade in all wild cats.

The Big Cat Public Safety Act is a federal bill that will ban cub handling and the private possession of big cats. Big Cat Rescue has been a champion of this bill and related measures since 1999. Currently, dozens of traveling zoos and roadside exhibitors profit from charging the public a fee to pet, play with, and pose with tiger cubs and other large felids. These operations have cropped-up as the result of a four week "window" during which it is legal for the public to pet big cat cubs in the U.S. This loophole was created by a guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) that bans contact with cubs under 8 weeks old while their immune systems are still developing, coupled with a court-affirmed prohibition on contact with cubs over 12 weeks old because they are dangerous to the public. The result is a four week period of the cat's life during which it is legal for the public to pet them. By ending the pay to play trade in wild cats we will end the abuse inherent in captivity and be able to save them in the wild.

As an entrepreneur who loves to learn and be on the leading edge of new technology that can preserve our planet's wild cats, I am excited to join this group of people who are thinking outside the box.
