This assessment provided the following of the target area of Duk Payuel and the surrounding villages, as accessible:o Nutritional status (GAM and SAM rates) for children 6-59.o Morbidity and mortality rates for children <5.o Estimated Vit A and EPI coverage.o Analysis of the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) situation in Duk Payuel.o Results and analysis of interviews on focus group discussions on Food Security & Livelihoods,including coping mechanisms and Knowledge, Attitudes, & Practices.✦ Provided a combination of formal and practicum education with clinic staff and community healthworkers in nutrition education, counseling and management of malnutrition.✦ Developed recommendations for nutrition intervention and for integration of nutrition services by the Duk Lost Boys Clinic at the Primary Health Care level, including benchmarks by which such intervention can be measured and evaluated.
