I have designed and developed the Domestic Violence Response Pilot Program (DVRPP) to support men from CALD backgrounds who are affected by domestic and family violence. We recognise the current gap in services and the need for a targeted and integrated approach to meet the unique and complex needs of CALD men. The DVRPP has been designed to work alongside community, health and social support organisations to offer legal problem-spotting training, build warm referral pathways, and develop culturally appropriate material for men from CALD backgrounds. This Pilot Program has begun securing partnerships with community organisations which are spearheaded by community leaders. The second prong centres on the delivery of tailored and trauma-informed legal services (including legal information, case work and representation).
