      Norbury Manor is a large 11-18 girl’s secondary inner London comprehensive with around 1300 student. I place over 500 students of different ages in work experience every academic year. Work experience is completed in different versions during year 7, year 10, year 12 and year 13. This involves liaising with employers, undertaking risk assessment, organising visits to placements, presentations to students and parents and responsibility for the general welfare of the students. In my capacity as events and training organiser I organise First Aid training for staff on a rolling basis, primary enterprise days, competition participation and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Summer School. I am as well the PA to one of the Deputy Heads and have been for the majority of my time at the school. I support her with all projects she is involved in with minute taking, proof reading and have covered her at the end of the last academic year. Show less

      The Institute of Public Relations is a not-for-profit membership organisation. I helped to make the preparation for workshops more time-efficient through having materials photocopied ahead of time for the running programme. I streamlined the booking system for a big awards evening with around 900 guests by using Microsoft Access. I managed to keep the printing costs down due to shrewd negations with different print companies. I dealt with all financial aspects of the delegate bookings from enquiries to raising invoices and reconciliation and organised reception duties at different event to make sure all delegates were registered and given name badges.
