Exceeded desired throughput of the system by 8% and my contributions helped secure further greenfield projects as well as brownfield projects with Chep • As a result of my comprehensive in-house simulation and testing of the PLC and HMI software, we managed to get the Orora Warehouse system running for production 3 days ahead of schedule. • Developed macros to quickly generate the bulk of PLC and HMI programs. Efficiently programmed, simulated and tested the full plant in-house resulting in reduced site commissioning time by 2 weeks. • Scholle, USA - designed, programmed and implemented a safety PLC system (2000+ IO) meeting the client's requirements. My work contributed to the client ordering a further 3 machines. • Programmed and optimised industrial refrigeration control systems. Successfully configured 330KW VSDs. Energy savings of up to 7% was achieved. • Re-programmed and optimised the unwind, tapping, spout insertion and cut-off units of the machine contributing to improved machine performance i.e. Machine cycles increased from 32 cycles/minute to 34 cycles/minute. • Played a major role in the integration of Maverick's technology and GQ's technology.
