As the Head of Outreach, I lead the Outreach Team in organising educational pursuits to spread awareness on synthetic biology and its applications in the local context. Alongside NTU iGEM, I help to organise and conduct µBioMachines, a half-day online workshop on synthetic biology aimed towards students in secondary institutions and assisted in making educational videos. As part of the Hardware team, I helped to build the Heterologous Expression bioReactor system with Optogenetic control (HERO), a portable bioreactor aimed towards biomanufacturing via optogenetic control. I streamlined the distribution of tasks and implemented a new finance tracking system to better manage our income and expenditures. I also implemented the use of Taskade to track the workload given to various members of the executive committee and to increase their overall productivity. I was a Section Commander (3rd Sergeant) in the 30th Singapore Combat Engineers Battalion's Mechanical Equipment Company, where I served as a member of the 25th Foldable Longspan Bridge (FLB) platoon. Along with my 10-man platoon, I was trained to construct, retrieve, and maintain the bridge and its component parts. I was appointed as the Bridge Specialist for my combat role and the platoon's Vehicle IC for my administrative role. I oversaw the well-being and maintenance of all the vehicles in the FLB fleet, ensuring they were serviceable for all our training and missions.
