As an Academic Excellence manager at Lead, I work with 26 schools and 400+ passionate teachers and school leaders across the state of Haryana. I support and monitor LEAD academic system execution in these partner schools. My role requires me to visit these schools at regular intervals to conduct teacher training workshops, observe classrooms and ensure execution of the program. Apart from this, I support teachers in analyzing student performance data and design interventions with multiple stakeholders to improve student learning. Stones2Milestones (S2M) is an edtech organisation that is on a mission to 'Create a Nation of Readers'. For the last 10 years we have been working to establish reading level benchmarks for ESL countries in order to enable children to read in English with will & skill.Children going to English medium schools are expected to learn, read and speak in English, a language that is aspirational yet alien to them and their surroundings. In India itself, of the 320 million school going children, an estimated 9 out of 10 children read below grade levels. The first step is to locate the reading levels of children via FAST, our standardised diagnostic assessment (~200,000 children / 1110 Schools have taken it to date) and then navigate them on the correct learning path by way of our human-centered AI reading app, @fREADom (featured by Apple as 'Apps they Love') at home and with WOW, adaptive reading curriculum for teachers in school.
