During my internship, I was working as a Data Science intern in the Product Analytics team. The granular components of my project were as follows: ● Conducting opportunity sizing for initiatives, which were strategically outlined by product managers for the upcoming fiscal year. These initiatives aimed to introduce new functionalities to the Jira Service Management Product in order to stimulate and drive incremental purchases and monthly active users. ● Aiding product managers in identifying the key performance metrics that would demonstrate an uptick as result of any given initiative, consequently providing advantageous insights for the testing and experimentation stages. ● Analysing historical data from Atlassian's data infrastructure, which comprises enormous tables containing billions of records to understand and drive insights from customer journey to product development. ● Creating a standard framework for opportunity sizing within the Data Science team at Atlassian. Utilising such a standardised framework facilitates streamlined comparisons between initiatives, thus allowing informed choices concerning their prioritisation and maximising benefits with minimal investment.
