Brian was my manager for approx 18 months when I worked for him on the AMO team in Oracle. This was a new team that was set up specifically to ensure our existing customer base were receiving the right level of support and care. Its other objective was to ensure we were maximising potential upsell revenue opportunities for new products etc. Brian built this team from the ground up to be a very high performing team that was very well respected in Oracle. He is a wonderful manager and had the perfect balance of trusting me to do my job and then leaning in and supporting me when I needed help. I was lucky to work with Brian as both a direct report and a peer in two different companies. During our time together at Oracle I reported directly to Brian where our team was tasked with the setup of the new Account Management Organisation taking care of our ERP/HCM Saas install base customers. A number of years later I worked with Brian on a peer to peer basis during our time in DocuSign where he managed the public sector team for Majors. Across both experiences working with Brian he showed great ability in terms of establishing key processes that were fundamental to his teams success. He was always very hands-on in terms of his involvement with his teams and their customer facing activities which allowed him to identify further areas for improvement while also validating that the processes he established were working. He is always open to feedback and this mentality along with his commercial mindset and vast sales experience made him a pleasure to work with, not only as a direct report or as a peer but also for the customers he served.
