I worked with businesses across a number of industries including hospitality, retail, publishing, wholesale, recruitment, financial services and technology. These businesses have ranged in size from privately owned businesses with revenue of less than $1M through to listed companies. Through the rotation program I developed a compliance background including financial accounting, audit and tax which served as a base to move in to advisory. My role in advisory included debt advisory, delivering pricing strategies, industry benchmarking analysis, performance management, developing board reporting and enterprise risk management frameworks. The debt advisory work focused on working collaboratively with businesses and banks to achieve lending that will enable businesses to achieve their aspirations. This lending was primarily cash-flow based. The deals I have worked on range from raising $3M of growth capital through to raising $36M in acquisition funding. In addition, I have had a strong focus on the not for profit sector with a goal of increasing the capacity to act of organisations. I worked with a team dedicated to achieving this by: - providing insights and tools to assist in shaping the organisation’s mission and outcomes - creating efficiency in dealing with the compliance burden organisations face - ensuring those charged with governance have timely and accurate information Show less
