- Provide transportation support for the raw materials supply chain to our factories in both the Dominican Republic and in Michigan. - Work with multiple modes of transportation ie. OTR long haul, LTL, Ocean both full container and LCL, air, and rail to ensure ontime delivery to the factories. - Part of the export compliance team approve commercial invoices and ensure proper classification is provided and the invoice is filled out accurately to prevent delaying shipments delivering outside of the United States. - Assisted with the completion of Importers Self Assessment Audit to be allowed to continue in the program for the remaining year. -Work with many different areas of the country main focus Western Hemisphere, including the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Canada, and Mexico. -Negotiated favorable ocean contract rates from the Dominican and was able to provide a substantial savings to those lanes. - Work with risk management team to ensure our carrier partners insurance coverages are meeting the company's critera and they hold valid operating authority, & DOT ratings.
