I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Betty Handy. When you think of the perfect co-worker, you think of Betty. She is a phenomenal woman with a spirit to match. Although I have only had the pleasure of supervising Betty for just over a year, I was able to witness up close and personal, the positive and long lasting impact she has had on staff and students. Betty is a "Go-Getter" with a dynamic and energetic attitude that cant help but rub off on others. She is conscientious and thorough in all task assigned; a team player in every since of the word. I have never worked with someone so dedicated to the success of others that they go above and beyond in providing supports, just to ensure those individuals can be successful. Betty is always the first to take the lead role with event planning and in developing and implementing new initiatives within the program. I highly recommend Betty as an addition to any organization that wishes to obtain an Educational Professional that exceeds the expectations desired and will offer much more than anticipated. Warmest Regards, Stephanie Overton Assistant Director
Kevin Covington, M.S.M.
I have had the privilege of working with Betty Handy at the Community College of Philadelphia for nearly nine years. It is without hesitation that I say that Betty Handy is a dedicated educator, skilled facilitator and a consummate professional. She is extremely skilled in program development and program management, relationship building and she has the ability to work with colleagues at all levels from entry to executive. As an educator and leader, she has an unique perspective that not only challenges traditional methods of educating and developing students but she works to implement viable solutions – she doesn’t just ask the right questions, she seeks solutions in a time where complaints can outweigh critical thought. She would be an asset to any organization that seeks a forward-thinking, strategic professional.
