As a Volunteers & Students Coordinator:• I look after the end to end recruitment of volunteers and students, including creating and publishing advertisements through Volunteering WA and SEEK Volunteer, reviewing position descriptions, organising and conducting phone and face-to-face interviews, organising on-boarding and induction for new startersHR-related administrative tasks: • I maintain an up-to-date database of personnel records • I conduct reference checks and submit police clearance and NDIS screening check applications for new starters • I prepare interview questions and conduct interviews for new starters and exit interviews• I create reports on HR metrics (e.g. turnover)• I revise company policies • I ensure that volunteers and students are provided with a safe environment, ensuring compliance with WH&S regulations and promptly applying hazard controlsAs a Client engagement officer: • I am responsible for the day to day operation of ECHO’s Day Centre as well as planning and organising special events and bus outings for clients • I assign volunteers and students with meaningful work, providing them with adequate resources and opportunities to actively engage with the clients during centre-based activities and outings• I plan and organise social events and formal meetings to bring volunteers, students and staff together and to promote inclusion and teamwork • I work closely with the Fundraising Manager to promote events, to generate content for ECHO’s monthly Newsletter and Facebook page • I collect feedback from clients through surveys, phone calls and one-on-one conversations, constantly looking at ways to improve clients and stakeholder satisfaction • I conduct research around local community services and I liaise with other organisations to optimise delivery and quality of services
