My role as a Sample Room Manager is to work directly with Norma Kamali to make sure the sample room is managed and run in an organized and efficient manner. While Ms. Kamali is developing her new line for each season, I am there to ensure that each piece she has designed for the new line moves forward in the development process. I communicate with the cutters and sewers on the garments that are going to be included in each new season. I clarify and manage with the cutters and sewers that the correct garments are being completed for Ms. Kamali's approval. Once a garment has been completed, I fit the garment with Ms. Kamali. From there she gives her full approval to move forward with production of the garment or whether there will be changes implemented on the finished garment. If the garment is approved by Ms. Kamali, I communicate with the patternmakers to prepare the garment's pattern to send to the domestic factory to be made for the new season's market or other selling points. I am also involved in preparing the patterns, cutters must, trimmings and fabrics to be sent to the domestic factory to be produced. While the garment are being produced I am the lead communicator with the domestic factory to ensure the all of the needed garments are completed in an efficient timeline. My main goal as a Sample Room Manager is to ensure that Ms. Kamali's new line gets completed in a successful and timely manner in order to reach closets and wardrobes of all the Norma Kamali customers.

My position at Francesca's requires me to delight every guest, every time. I have to develop a strong and friendly relationship with each customer that comes in. I provide them the answers to any questions they may have about styling or clothing in general. My goal is to make sure the customer walks out of the boutique with the exact items they came in looking for. In doing so, I ask them what they are shopping for and proceed to pull items that fit into their category of interest. I also want to make sure the customer feels comfortable and confident in any item of clothing they are in. My main goal is to make sure that customers have a positive shopping experience in Francesca's.

    • Design Internship

During my design internship with Jillian Feller's Bridal, my job was to help construct and design bridal gowns for the Fall 2017 line. My tasks included creating patterns, constructing muslin samples, cutting fashion fabric, and sewing together final fashion fabric pieces. Along with these tasks, I also helped determine fabric choices for each dress in order to make the dresses cohesive for the line. When working at Home & Closet, I was in charge of the clothing. It was my job to sort through and display the clothing onto the sales floor. I had to display it in a way that would attract customer's to purchase the articles of clothing. I was also in charge of dressing the mannequins to give customers ideas about how the clothing fits. I had to post on the Facebook and Instagram page about items featured in the store. When working at Home & Closet, I was in charge of the clothing.
