Beth and I were brought in under contract to build / revamp and bring structure to the Talent Acquisition department at Swarovski North America. When we joined the company, the department consisted of a Jr recruiter and a coordinator responsible for scheduling agency candidates. As a team we rebuilt the department and eliminated the use of agencies by 95%, we achieved this by building partnerships with the hiring managers, holding intake meetings and talent talks to determine internal talent ready for promotions and/ or new assignments, we also worked on increasing Swarovski social media and on campus presence to help brand us as an employer of choice. At the start of 2019 our roles were transitioned to permanent, based on the work that we did and the cost savings of taking recruitment in house. In addition to rebuilding a TA department and taking TA in house, Beth handled her own Req load and preformed proactive searches to present a diverse slate of candidates to the hiring managers and bring top talent to the company while keeping an eye out for internal talent. Once a new hire joined the team, she was aware of the need for a strong on-boarding program to reduce turn and was an integral part of revamping our on-boarding programs and candidate communication creating a positive experience for all candidates even if they were not hired. She was also the point person for Workday for the population she supported, when the Global team implemented Workday as our new ATS and HRIS. To quantify what she brought to the role, during her tenure she saved the company several hundred thousand dollars in agency fees, reduced the average time to full by 28 days. In addition, she helped restructure the Cranston, RI internship program, creating a meaningful internship experience in our home office and branding us a strong community partner. In addition to her work as a Sr TA Business Partner, Beth due to a restructure and reduction in Workforce and a directive to move HR oversees to a centralized hub, was tasked with training her replacements, and she took on this task with a sense of professionalism and grace and over the course of several months mapped out her role and trained two new hires in person and virtually on how to do her job (although they hired two people to replace her they will not be able to fully replace her). Based on the workforce reduction she also took on the additional responsibility of handling internal communication and employee engagement at the Corporate office for the past 5 months, helping lead change management as we all learn how to adjust to the new structure that moved 75 percent of HR, training and benefit administration oversees. She truly is an amazing person and I am honored to have had the privilege to work with her.
