- Lead the design and delivery of 5 womenswear collections per year, along with two online collections (sleep & christmas) - Work closely with the Director to ensure designs align with the brand's vision - Generate concepts, ideas and inspiration behind collections through trend research and translate them into unique designs that resonate with the brand's aesthetic - Create unique and exciting placement and continuous textile prints for each collection - Prepare visually compelling mood boards, colour palettes, shapes and style inspiration for Director's approval - Create CAD drawings and production ready tech specifications that outline the design, materials, measurements and construction techniques required for production - Run weekly WIP meetings: review the designs, provide feedback, and suggest improvements. Collaborate with the team to refine designs and ensure they meet the highest standards - Design and oversee the 1st swimwear collection for Love, Bonfire The Label (launched 2023) - Utilise sales data to refine and improve future collections: Analyse sales performance, customer feedback and market trends to identify areas for refinement and enhance future collections - Identify, suggest and source new materials, colours, fabrication, techniques and trims - Liaise with offshore suppliers: Establish and maintain effective communication, coordinate the procurement of materials, manage production schedules and ensure timely delivery for each collection - Manage the process of ordering, tracking and coordinating sampling - Conduct fittings and garment assessments to ensure proper fit, quality and adherence to design specifications - Review and approve samples, making necessary modifications to achieve desired design outcomes - Monitor and control production costs, implementing strategies to reduce waste, improve productivity - Organise and monitor freight from suppliers , consolidating where possible and ensuring on time delivery Show less
