Personal Access Control and ID Card Administrator for SGN (Agency -ocean security/Mitie) My First Project starting in March 15’ was to complete an ID card rebranding exercise for every SGN employee throughout the UK and Scotland. This came to about 5,000 employees and a lot of preparation was needed to make this run smoothly. Liaising with cost centre mangers, site landlords, comms and others to make sure I advertised all that I could, created the best methods that were suitable for… Show more Personal Access Control and ID Card Administrator for SGN (Agency -ocean security/Mitie) My First Project starting in March 15’ was to complete an ID card rebranding exercise for every SGN employee throughout the UK and Scotland. This came to about 5,000 employees and a lot of preparation was needed to make this run smoothly. Liaising with cost centre mangers, site landlords, comms and others to make sure I advertised all that I could, created the best methods that were suitable for everyone to use and to make sure I extracted all the information I needed to create a card and cross-reference details as a quality controlled measurement. 20+ SGN sites are monitored and controlled via a Personal Access Control system called PACsecure Net. This is activated Via a Chip enabled picture ID card. The personal access control for SGN is managed by me. I create profiles and input there data onto the system. I do a lot of data input and amendments based on requests from PAC Authorised person or Site landlords. Adding new starters to the system, Activating profiles and chip numbers, create and dispatch PAC ID Cards using the other software called IDPro which is the Card creating software printed by a top quality HD printer. Producing replacement cards for lost, damaged, failed or change of details. Detect and resolve any dial up/ IP communication issues within PAC SecureNet. Remove from PAC and IDPro any leavers as directed in the weekly/monthly leavers report or at the request of a direct email, remove access levels, areas, doors controllers ect when no longer required. Maintain and update daily spreadsheets and running reports from the PAC system to help investigate security issues throughout SGN sites from the South of the UK up to Scotland . I would also complete further tasks as directed by security management as and when I am needed. This was a brand new project for Qvis, which needed a lot of preparation, team building, Problem solving, procedure writing and advising, and putting them all into action for when we went live in February. 8 months down the line we became a fully accredited ARC with NSI ARC Gold and SSAIB accreditations. My Roles included CCTV Monitoring, Alarm handling, installation knowledge for CCTV installers, dealing with CCTV and Alarms basic technical issues, Using the alarm handling software 'Sentinel' and training others on it, talking with clients, Calling the emergency services, Witnessing and a dealing with Crime via CCTV, Daily report writing, personal reviews, writing informative briefs on new procedures. We also had a streak of sales within our job when in contact with Installers and end users, we would push for better quality detectors, lighting, CCTV.. I created detailed training sheets on training other operators on how to perform these new procedures using our alarm handling software. Controlling all entry procedures and technology into the building and setting and unsettling the building alarms. Fire safety of the building as well as dealing with internal intruder alarms. I also did a lot of admin and inputting data into the system for the clients as part of my day-to-day job. I am very proud of the way the ARC developed and proud that I help this project start.
