      At Waitrose & Partners Bridport I am a team leader. My duties include setting up tasks for all members of staff working on replenishment and reductions, coordinating with payment staff to ensure they have the right levels of staff, supporting them where needed and help them organize and cover breaks to ensure the best level of service possible is attained. I am the first port of call for any decisions made on the shopfloor and have to be contactable at all times by management and other members of staff to sort any issues that may arise, including problems with customer deliveries and collections. I have to delegate tasks and decide which members of staff are best suited to complete each task within the time frame given. I am also responsible for receiving deliveries of stock and ensuring they are worked on time. At the end of each shift, I write a comprehensive handover to ensure the night team know exactly what has been achieved and what is outstanding. I am also fully trained on the checkout section, including running the welcome desk, checkouts and self-checkouts. I deal with customer enquiries and admin on the welcome desk and process orders. When I am not running the floor, I predominantly work on reductions, ensuring all stock is reduced where required and not sold out of date. I also answer the phone lines and deal with customer queries or issues.
