Bio
Kathryn L. Voigt
Beth's creativity and outgoing personality enable her to react quickly and courteously as a front line employee dealing with visitors and patrons. She is hard working, always willing to help and work toward the bigger picture, all the while keeping a positive attitude. Her skills go beyond her artistic ability to include leading teams, managing operations and dealing cordially and clearly with patrons. I would welcome the opportunity to continue working with her.
Patty Wagner
Beth Servais was a valuable part of the education team at The History Museum. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a bright, energetic, creative person with a strong work ethic. I give her my strongest recommendation and would hire her again in a minute.

Assistant Manager
-
Sep 2011 - Sep 2012
As an assistant manager, I was responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of the Visitor Experience Staff. I took initiative and reinstated monthly staff meetings. Also participated in the interview process for new employees and trained those hired for Visitor Experience positions. Designed and led an educational activity for an after-hours school program. For the activity, students had to work together to answer questions that let them tour the museum, while encouraging them to use their imaginations in learning about geography, science, art, and physical health. Day-to-day activities included scheduling shifts for employees, scheduling parties and field trips, providing orientations for school groups visiting the museum, handling admissions, and preparing the day’s closing cash deposit. Intern
-
May 2010 - Aug 2010
The Hardy Gallery is a non-profit arts organization with the mission of promoting and fostering local art. It is dedicated to addressing the needs of local artists, enriching the creativity of local youth, and to educating the public while promoting the visual arts and artists of the Door County peninsula. From May until August of 2010, I became a part of the Hardy’s organization as an intern, gaining experience in the fields of Arts Management and Gallery/Museum Practices. Leadership roles and personal projects included designing the gallery space for two art exhibitions, writing a grant for the Hardy’s Art Camp Program, planning and leading activities for the Art Camp Program, fundraising through the gallery’s Community Mosaic Project, volunteer training, and maintaining the membership database.
