In my role as European e-marketing co-coordinator, responsible for Verbatim’s digital marketing on a European level, my key duties include the following:- • Taking full responsibility of the European website in 17 languages including writing all copy, arranging translations and ensuring all areas are kept up to date. This involves liaising with product managers, translation agencies, regional offices and the website programmers to ensure the correct information is shown at all times. • Most recently (2012) the company has taken the step to incorporate e-commerce functionality. I was part of the small team involved in launching the online shop, and continue to be heavily involved in the day to day operation of it. • Co-operation on a global basis regarding the overall website design and functionality to ensure a consistent look for the brand. • Responsibility for the set up of a new e-mail marketing system. Working with the European offices to set up the database, organise the structure, importing contacts. Training of each of the marketing executives from around Europe on how to use the new system and resolve any issues that they face. The creation and sending of pan-European email marketing campaigns to a large database. • Co-ordination of various elements of design both web and print based. This involves briefing and working with the design agency and team of programmers to create micro sites, flash banners and redesigning existing websites. Brief and liaise with and SEO Agency regarding key words and now that the online shop is launched, investing in PPC and link building activities. • In-house graphic design. Responsible for creating adverts, exhibition graphics, product range images and planograms using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. This ensures consistency and has saved the company a substantial amount of money in the process. Show less
