I was one of 10 teachers chosen to mentor a group of students for the ISAS, a NASA designed program, in the summer of 2013. To be a teacher mentor for this group means I guide when needed during the time they are working to design a manned mission to Mars. The students, who are in between their junior and senior year of high school, visit Micron, Boise State science & engineering labs, NASA Ames in San Jose, CA, as well as get to chat with locals who work directly with NASA or are subcontracted with NASA.
