Providing good quality data to drive business cases and investment plans. Ensuring a robust level of asset availability • Manage and articulate movements within the budget at regular performance review sessions, understanding variances to each budget line. This involves making technical decisions on the spot in order to manage and successfully oversee the job on time. Assessing and monitoring field staff and operations to ensure they are working within the prescribed Health and Safety Guidelines. This included site assessments, ’ tool handling and protective equipment. Responsible for the completion of works under very challenging and demanding circumstances such as re-modelling of the network, low pressure or no water issues and water quality issues. This includes carrying out water quality samples, knowing what to do in the event of contamination, full main disinfection, pressure readings, and dealing with all customer queries to keep customer relations intact. Emergency attendance to broken water pipes in response to the customers’ calls. Using numerous skills such as correlation to locate the position of the leak. Shutting water pipe off when repair required. Analysing and raising appropriate repair job for the contracting team. Using my initiative to estimate time of repair and liaising with all parties to ensure customer satisfaction. Making sure that at the time of repair meets all water regulation and water quality standards such as DG2 and DG3 time scales. Making sure that all work carried out by NST or our sub-contractor is in compliance with the Health and Safety Regulation and Best Operating Practice with good knowledge of water distribution within the London area. Inspected and audited Health and Safety documentation. Carrying out by-law inspection of new connections and internal pipe works. This requires a thorough understanding of the construction of the network asset and its technical makeup. Onsite training of new field technicians.
