1. Friction Reducer for Slickwater Hydraulic Fracturing • New surfactant based friction reducer for slick water was tested for hydraulic fracturing applications. • Viscosity and sand settling tests were applied on the solution. • Formation damage, friction reduction, and water salinity tolerance were investigated. 2. Investigation of an Exotic Scale Dissolver in High Temperature Wells • Several acids were screened for exotic scale dissolution. • Several additives were tested to see the effect at high temperature and varying pressure. • Hydrogen sulfide was measured and the generation was optimized through different scavenger treatments. • XRD, SEM-EDS, and XRF were used to determine the scale composition before and after treatments. 3. Foam Mobility Control for EOR & Hydraulic Fracturing Application • Mobility control for different for different foam solutions was tested. • Effects of guar polymer, VES, and nanoparticles were tested. • Estimated the fluid’s apparent viscosity and relative permeability curves.
