In 2012, WIDE.IO initial vision was to build tools to help companies to find the best technology for their software by activating communications with scientists and universities. The company has bootstrapped its own way forward until 2014 Q3, a period where we have been scaling from 2 to 10 employees - thanks to related consulting revenues and awards for R&D project. In 2014, we have raised seed funding from Seedrs to develop a first platform product: an open marketplace for algorithms comprising an easy-to-use runtime environment and a social platform for the community. We have developed proprietary technologies to deploy containers technologies and to operate a FAAS infrastructure on the cloud. This platform has stopped operating in 2015Q3 for numerous operational reasons. During 2015-2018 period, WIDE IO has been operating as part of the SensingFeeling consortium and has been building technology related to management and commercialization of datastreams. WIDE IO data-science consulting arm is focused on projects involving scientific or technological challenges and has been assisting numerous companies in the development of high-performance intelligent products. At Mindstorm multitouch, I worked on the computer vision technology. I have suggested a new background subtraction technology with fast adaptive-background learning, and refactored the code for the polyfit procedures used at various places in the code for geometric transforms. I was more generally helping on the development of the engine, had to re-engineer the computer vision tracking engine to new standards, which implied also taking care of some devops, to put in place continuous integrations tools related to core software framework. I have also been suggested initiatives to help the company to ideate and innovate. Show less
