      Dr. Bertha Du-Babcock is Visiting Professor of Business and Professional Communication. Prior to joining Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, she taught at City University of Hong Kong and held visiting appointments in Japan, Mainland China, Australia, and the USA. Her research is directed towards theory development and teaching innovations in intercultural business communication. She has authored/co-authored 45 journal articles, 6 books, 12 book chapters, and 37 international refereed conference proceedings. She was the plenary speaker and has conducted workshops at 28 international conferences. Her articles have appeared in SSCI journals including: The IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Discourse and Communication, Language and Intercultural Communication, Journal of English for Specific Purposes, Journal of Business and Technical Communication, Iberica, Management Communication Quarterly, International Journal of Business Communication, and other non SSCI with high SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) scores. She is co-author of the Asian Edition of Essentials of Business Communication and co-edited a special issue on Business and Professional Communication in Asia for the Journal of Business and Technical Communication.Du-Babcock served as board member, vice president of the Asia-Pacific, and the President for the Association for Business Communication. She received nine international awards. Currently, she serves as an Associate editor for the International Journal of Business Communication, is on editorial boards of eight international journals. She is a Research Proposal Assessor for Australian Research Council, PhD thesis External Examiner for universities in Australia, Hong Kong, and India, and course examiner for managerial communication for universities in Hong Kong.
