Contract at Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook IL, to work on the Strategic Document Enablement project, creating a new document creation application. Systems Analyst: Worked on a team of three people to analyze and document all variable data items printed in the Auto Policy Declarations package generated from the mainframe document creation application. Identified 1500+ variable data items, that were traced back to the system data fields and documented in preparation for Entity Model creation and passing data to the new application. Created a detailed and comprehensive Technical Design for the Mainframe system to provide the necessary data for the new document creation application from the results of the Technical Analysis, Business Requirements and Entity Model. Business Analyst: Served as a technical liaison between the technology area and business client to investigate and provide reports for the legacy content of Policy Declaration packages, including countrywide and state exceptions, and numbers of specific content per state for 3 initial states, enabling the client to provide a prototype of the new policy declaration package to the project team. Created a detailed and comprehensive business requirement document for the vehicle ID CARDS section of the new Policy Declarations package, using the business rule harvesting, Policy Declaration prototype and meetings with the business client, and provided to the technology teams. Coded/Modified COBOL programs to pass data to new business rules and document environment. Tested and worked with QA team to develop manual test enviroment. Show less
