  • As a Plan Speciialist I’m responsible for managing the AR for different insurance carriers as the claim move through the revenue cycle process. Develop strong working relationship with the insurance company provider representatives to ensure that issues with in the inventory may be resolved quickly so that payment can be made.• Identify bulk issues that may delay payment • Host monthly meeting with assigned payers to present the overall progress/success of payments, identify any on going or new issue that may be impacting claim payments. • Prepare reports to be presented to upper management to give an overall review of the assigned payers AR within the facilities.   I manage the AR for several hospital groups by working with the perspective insurance company's Provider Reps to insure claims over 10k that have been denied or underpaid are reprocessed and paid in accordance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and/or contract which ever applies. This role also involves identifying large volume problematic AR that maybe due to a change in Medicare and Medicaid guidelines or in the contract itself and work with the payer to resolve the issue.
