      The objective of the thesis project was to set up a production line for inductive components within Witec. Combining the existing knowledge of precision manufacturing with inductive components, Witec can strengthen their market position in the High-Tech industry.Main question of my thesis project was: “How should an assembly line be set up and be furnished, regarding risks, logistics and assembly moulds, within a completely new assembly department of Witec? Which products, productions steps or processes need redesign, and comparing to the current assembly process of the subcontractor can a cost reduction of 10% be realized?Result of the project was highly positive. After a meticulous examination of the production line, work instructions, test protocols, etc. After analysis of the first production run of glue dispensing units, the client (Nordson) approved the production line.       My traineeship at Witec Fijnmechanische techniek B.V. involves identification of process risks for High Impact Parts (HIP) and finding solutions for these risks, using tools such as Flow charts, CTQ-lists, FMEA analysis and Control plans etc.. Workinstructions were made incorporating the solutions found with the risk analysis. Achievement was that output and quality was increased and the fluctuations within several processes and tolerances are minimized.
