  The AWF sees (true) eco tourism as a key driver of sustainability for the communities within which it operates. For AWF I am designing eco lodges for a number of the communities it works with. These designs incorporate locally sourced materials and traditional designs with the latest in alternative technologies such as solar power. The AWF finances all materials costs and its volunteers work with the local community in their construction. Eco Lodges are being built (2011) in Sierra Leone, Ghana and (2012) Vietnam, Sri Lanka. Following on from these sites there are plans for Argentina, Peru, Malaysia and Poland, amongst others. Show less
