Became a valuable member of a project team tasked with implementing controls to monitor and maintain a stable system for a data center client. Project Goal: To design and implement an HMI for our client showing precise measurements of all necessary setpoints which are controlled through Allen Bradley PLCs and Allerton Controllers. - As a member of this team, I spent two months at the data center and one month in office, my tasks included: In-Office preparing for FAT: - Creating scripts for a presentation of our HMI operating based upon a Sequence of Operations (SoO) provided by the client. - Building HMI based upon client's SoO and applying previous onsite knowledge to tailor HMI to the client's needs. On-Site at Data Center: - Building an HMI by gathering data from PLCs and integration with subcontractors controls. - Programming PLCs using ladder logic. - Commissioning systems across the building to then be turned over to the client. - Fixing issues with the HMI or ladder logic as per client's punch list - Pulling Alarm logs using SQL to then provide routes for fixing issues - Trending points using a historian server to look for anomalies/inconsistencies in the system.
