As a Technical Lead, I am responsible for working with the CxO team and wider business to define the product roadmap, gather data and requirements, and translate them into technical solutions, as well as designing the architecture of how said solutions will be implemented. Once an approach has been agreed, my responsibilities transition to developer alongside the team to build and deliver the solution. Most recently this has involved re-writing the lending platform from the ground up and implementing a market trading platform to allow trading at discounts. These projects involved developing new micro-services and event-driven methods of communication to ensure performance at scale as well as understanding the needs of investors in the difficult times of Covid. Outside of specific solutions, I work with the various business teams to scope future projects and work with the other development teams to define future state architecture. Show less

    • Technical Consultant, Microsoft Consulting Services
      • Sep 2012 - Oct 2017

As a Consultant, my role was working with customers to define new offerings, gathering customer requirements, delivering solutions using Microsoft technologies, and presenting to businesses around the world. Primarily this revolved around Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and Azure. However, due to Dynamics CRM’s support for extension, and my user experience and development backgrounds, I gained a reputation as the go to person for the more out-of-the-box projects and I was heavily involved in creating custom interfaces on top of the data held within CRM JavaScript alongside various frameworks. Although I enjoyed developing, my primary role was one of technical leadership, analysing businesses and architecting solutions using Microsoft products. A personal highlight project was a command and control system for two major police forces which provided live incident tracking, resource management, real-time location tracking of officers, and duty management where I was the Technical Lead in charge designing how the 17 first and third party systems communicated and worked together as well as designing the front-end interface for how control centre staff managed incoming emergency and routine incidents. This project involved constant communication with the two police forces and regular trips to the control centres to observe existing ways of working and demonstrate the new system. Other projects included building the one of the first automated medical underwriting systems as a joint project between a major health insurance provider and a Hong Kong bank, student management systems with a selection of universities and varying work with the government and defence. Outside of the main role, I also trained new graduates each year and worked on side projects with various partners including a multi-platform application to support external events and a nomination portal for the National Diversity Awards. For the charity work I received a Great People, Great Performance award in 2015 Show less

Worked as part of a multi-disciplinary, web development team building websites and applications for large customers within the financial sector. I joined as a HTML and CSS developer where I would be given Photoshop designs and produce a set of templates. I later worked on creating the underlying JavaScript and finally moved to the .Net team where I created MVC websites both from scratch and within SiteCore.
