Teaching Assistant in Co-design
-
Sep 2015 - Dec 2015
• I supervised students in their co-design projects and helped them plan their co-design workshops, identify and gather relevant stakeholders, engage their co-design participants, and turn their observations into concrete insights and design openings About the course Co-design, or "cooperative design", is a special way of designing, where the end users of a product or service take part in the design process through design meetings and -workshops. This year's case was carried out in collaboration with the global innovation festival "Afsnit I" in Denmark (http://afsniti.dk/en/) gathering 23 startups from all over the world. Using co-design methods, the students helped the startups prepare and design different festival events with the purpose of communicating their businesses to potential investors and festival visitors. Teaching Assistant in Context-based App Design
-
Feb 2015 - Jun 2015
• I planned and organized weekly exercises, both practical and theoretical, for 2nd year Interaction Design bachelor students • Based on design thinking, I supervised students in their app design projects all the way from early research and sketching to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes. • I introduced the students to design tools such as Sketch, Invision and Pixate. About the course The students were introduced to how context in interaction design can be understood from different perspectives. These perspectives include early perspectives on context, e.g. situated interaction, embodied interaction, context-aware computing and location-based services. The focus was on how a deep understanding of social, cultural and material aspects of context can be developed for a specific mobile application, and integrated into the design of such an application. The overall app development project was done in collaboration with RLabs in Cape Town, South Africa (http://www.rlabs.org/). Thus the project was also a big exercise in designing with and for long-distance clients. Show less

Teaching Assistant in Co-design
-
Sep 2014 - Dec 2014
• I planned and organized exercises twice a week, both practical and theoretical, for 2nd year bachelor students • I supervised students in their co-design projects and helped them plan their co-design workshops, engage their co-design participants, and turn their observations into concrete insights and design directions About the course Co-design, or "cooperative design", is a special way of designing, where the end users of a product or service take part in the design process through design meetings and -workshops. The students of the course were introduced to and trained in a repertoire of qualitative methods for understanding everyday contexts and for engaging participants in the co-design of products and services. In particular the focus was on how to develop an understanding of a context, including people, their practices and values, and how to transform this understanding into relevant products and services through co-design encounters. The overall case of the course was about social sustainability in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Show less

While working at the Danish online marketing agency Starfly Media I designed and developed a lot of campaign landing pages, campaign web sites and social media profiles. Notably I introduced a responsive design for all landing pages making all campaigns substantially better at driving leads from users of mobile devices. I assisted on photo shoots and edited photos. In addition to this I had a couple of personal assignments for the Danish eyewear company Synoptik; I digitised all of the company's commercials going 25 years back, and directed and edited a 12 minute collage film telling the history of the company in connection with their 80th anniversary.
