    • Sports Journalist - NCTJ Trainee
      • Sep 2015 - May 2016

I obtained a gold star NCTJ accredited Multimedia Sports Journalism Diploma at News Associates in London, which finished in May 2016. It was named the UK’s top overall journalism course by National Council for the Training of Journalists in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. During my time at News Associates I did work experience one day a week at Sportsbeat, a rapidly growing creative multimedia sports agency based in Wimbledon. I have contributed to the football league website, the rugby paper, the cricket paper, eurosport.com, theFA.com and teamGB.com. I have also written match reports for the football league paper, the official Aviva Premiership rugby website and the official women’s superleague website. In February there was an opportunity to gain journalistic experience and I continued to work at Sportsbeat full-time for three weeks, mainly assisting with the official RBS 6 Nations website during the 2016 tournament and teamGB.com ahead of the Olympics this summer. I also did a one-week placement on the news-desk at the Sheffield Star, where I managed to write several page leads in such a short space of time. Show less
