Civil Engineering Intern
-
Nov 2019 - May 2020
As a civil engineering intern at IDOM for 6 months over the summer of 2019/2020, I took the first step into my professional career. Being incorporated into the firm, I was able to learn off my peers and colleagues, always striving to become a valuable member of the team. I was fortunate enough to work on a large mass transport solution for a growing city that including duplication of the existing light rail track and the modernizing of the supporting systems (Stations, ticketing system, demand modeling ect.) A highlight of the experience was developing a new skill set leveraging the power of Aimsun. I used this software to conduct level of service analysis on the existing level crossings of the rail line. Outcomes of the models were used to evaluate the need of level crossing removals. Show less
