I lead and manage a range of professional conversion initiatives to support mid-career professionals, disadvantaged PMETs or PMETs at risk. These include Place & Train (PnT) and Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) type programmes. My team collaborates with relevant government agencies, trade associations, professional bodies and external partners to conceptualize, develop and manage programmes geared towards re-skilling and upskilling the workforce. Typically, such programmes are sectorial or functional focused. Notably, I had the invaluable opportunity to work with The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) on their Technology in Finance Immersion Programme (TFIP), Workforce Singapore (WSG) on a CCP advocating technology roles within the Infocomm & Technology Sector and a leading local trade association to support PMETs towards pursuing a mid career transition in the digital marketing function. My responsibilities also include outreach and awareness building to promote career opportunities and help PMETs in identifying potential job roles and learning & development goals to aid career planning. Representing the NUS School of Continuing & Lifelong Education (SCALE), we jointly support long term varsity/organizational strategic goals in working with internal stakeholders (Faculties & Schools) to review and develop related partnership engagements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

      • Aug 2018 - Aug 2021

As the Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) Lead to SMU Institute of Service Excellence Partnership and Programme Development team, I am responsible for developing the overall strategic direction to the Institute's training pillar. Broadly, my team designs, develops and delivers training programmes aimed at addressing the learning goals for professionals, businesses and organisations. My work involves collaborating closely with a wide range of organisations, from global MNCs to SMEs, across varying sectors & industries (i.e. Financial Institutions, Telcos, Retail) to design training propositions and initiatives to address learning gaps. These would be in domain areas such as service excellence, customer or stakeholder centricity and organisational transformation. The trainings are often developed for a specific pillar of the business or can be implemented across the various teams within an organisation. Managing a suite of SkillsFuture (SSG) supported courses in conjunction with SMU Academy, I am a champion of the national continuing education and training agenda and an advocate towards the benefits of the SSG Skills Framework and Industry Transformation Maps (ITMs). My responsibilities also include industry outreach, engagement and advocacy relating to the Institute's iconic Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) benchmarking survey study as well as research and consultancy services.

In my tenure, I drove several key initiatives with customer fronting departments to enhance differentiated service offerings to customers.
