I am a member of a team of RPI students and graduates hired by IOHK. Our task has been to do static analysis of the code base for their recently deployed cryptocurrency, Cardano, as well as Daedalus, a crypto-wallet currently built to work with Cardano with plans to be made into a universal wallet. Typically we are given files or folders to examine for security vulnerabilities, cryptographic flaws or deviations from the formal specification. I was hired to redesign and develop a major piece of in-house software in conjunction with the Lead Software Developer. I worked with the Python web framework Django and a PostgreSQL database. Along with developing this software, the old database had to be migrated and reformatted to conform to the new standard we designed.
