IMLCA Email Marketing and Writing Summer Internship
-
May 2020 - Aug 2021
- Start date May 26, 2020 This internship provided a great learning opportunity in terms of marketing the IMLCA Players Directory application. This application gives high school lacrosse players a resource they can use to get into colleges and universities that they possibly didn't think they had a chance to go to. In addition to that, the internship gives me an opportunity to help with the sales and marketing goals of IMLCA. I'm specifically in charge of the newsletters and sending out emails via Mailchimp. My job entailed coordinating activities for large summer groups and speaking about safety techniques for managing kids on the Brandywine River. Also, I had to make sure the customers were guided safely and knew the right paddling form for parts of the river. My last duty was to drive them in our van system and do some manual labor, which was getting them out safe and putting our boats from the Brandywine River back into our facility. Provided Volunteer Service for the Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens Program
-
Nov 2015 - Jun 2016
I spent seven months with Matthew Lavelle, a local Delawarean, who has intellectual disabilities. I took him out for food, watched cartoons with him, played football with him, went to his school play, etc. After my service, I was awarded the Blue-Gold Senior All-Star Football Service award given to one player at the game.
