Whilst working at the firm, I was involved in various high net worth cases, whilst also managing my own caseload. Highlights include: Settling a case with total assets of £21,000,000 including assets in the Cayman Islands, Ireland and jewellery worth £500,000. Went to a final hearing, via arbitration and successfully achieved a downward variation of maintenance in a case where our client has a gross income of £230,000 per annum. Successfully drafted a post nuptial agreement for a client which reflected his substantial, unmatched, contribution to the martial assets. Show less

Whilst at Tier 1 rated Wendy Hopkins, I was fortunate enough to work alongside Melanie Hamer in a number of high profile cases. These included: Representing a Premier League winning footballer in a schedule 1 case. Drafting a Pre-nuptial agreement for a Serie A winning footballer. Achieving a great outcome at a final hearing for a Husband whose family are listed in the Sunday Times Rich List. I also managed a caseload of children act cases. I was a political correspondent for the Global Panorama, focusing on current legal issues. My first article explained the legal changes that enabled the deportation of Abu Qatada without contravening the Human Rights Act Human Rights Act 1998 I also wrote an article about the legal and personal impact of the Supreme court ruling, re-affirming the position that there is no right to die in the UK. My research for this involved interviewing both the widow of Tony Nicklinson and the widow’s sister. Additionally I wrote a number of international articles, including the Turkish "ergenekon" case and a review of the UN report on the atrocities in the North Korean concentration camps. Show less

Benjamin was a researcher for the Cardiff Innocent project, his job was to research and review the various case files, in order to find evidence which suggests the client has suffered a miscarriage of justice. Once this was done he would write a report summarising all the key evidence and then send this to the Criminal Complaints Review Commission, who may order a new trial. He was chosen to give a presentation on miscarriage of justice to students who were interested in applying to the scheme next year. For his research for this project he traveled to Southampton University to attend a talk by Nick Yarris, who spent twenty one years on death row after being wrongly accused of murder. Highlights include forcing the re-trial and subsequent clearing of Dwain George's name. Show less
