Intern at Christ Church Vienna
-
Aug 2018 - Jul 2019
I served for 10 months as Intern of Christ Church, the English speaking church in Vienna, shadowing Chaplain Father Patrick Curran, as part of my discernment of a vocation to the Sacred Priesthood. Roles included preaching on a regular basis and leading the Daily Office. I led two Lent Groups (one of which I continued as a House Group beyond Lent), co-led the Alpha Course and teenage Confirmation Classes. I attended and participated in German-language ecumenical events. I was responsible for home (and hospital) Communion visits, as necessary. I served as Head Server/Servers’ Co-ordinator, responsible for recruiting and training new Altar Servers. I led a weekly Bible Study group, and was a regular contributor to Kid’s Church. Show less
