LGMVP has been developed as one of the Vertically Integrated Projects for Sustainable Development teams, to display PMU data alongside operational network data of the University of Strathclyde and the Power Network Demonstration Centre in real-time to aid the push for renewable energy. Within this team, I actively participate in the development of the platform, data visualisation and database maintenance. Lady Curran Summer Intern

Continuing my time as a Research Intern, I remained to work on the Smart Grid Monitoring and Visualisation Platform thanks to the Lady Curran Summer Internship programme funding. During this time, I began redesigning the platform with the Python framework Dash Plotly to improve functionality, while also working to transfer the platform from the prior cloud server to the university server to increase storage capacities.

Research Intern

In addition to my time at the University of Strathclyde working on the VIP4SD project Smart Grid Monitoring and Visualisation Platform, I was asked to continue working on the project during the summer. During this period, I focused on creating weekly GB Power System Performance Summaries as well as improving the platform's frequency event detection system. Through this I received the Students Choice Award for my work as part of the RI@S programme.

Control System Engineer

As a member of the Strathclyde Strathloop team, we competed in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. With the goal to design and build a prototype hyperloop pod, to then race on a 1.3-km test track at SpaceX’s Headquarters in California. Within the propulsion sub-team, I was involved in the research of electric motors and electronic speed controllers.
