  Pivotal Response Therapy (PRT) is a form of applied behavioural analysis (ABA). As a therapist I worked with young children who have special needs to help them develop functional language while assisting them achieve developmental targets in a play based setting. I also gave parental training during sessions so that they may implement the therapy at home with their children. My role involved providing this therapy one-on-one in a clinical setting, in the child’s school or nursery, or in the child’s home. Part of my role involved collecting, analysing, and storing data taken during sessions so this may be used to give baseline and monthly reports on the progress of clients.
