      • Jun 2019 - Jul 2020

During my final year at University, I took on the role of an Oddballs Student Ambassador which helps raise awareness of Testicular Cancer. My main responsibilities consisted of providing 15 to 20-minute presentations at schools, placing CYGs (Check Yourself Guides) in men's toilets around Oxfordshire, and finally to negotiate merchandise deals with sports teams. All in an effort of increasing awareness among men. I have enjoyed every single minute of this role and I am very honoured to have been given the opportunity to support such an amazing cause. During the Summer of 2019, I was lucky enough to gain 3 weeks of work experience at the International Insurance & Reinsurance Brokerage Tysers. Shadowing Brokers within the following departments: Claims, Marine Claims, International Property & Casualty, North American Property & Casualty, Marine, International Terrorism & Political Violence and Construction departments. This gave me a good insight into the Analytical & Processing side of the business and the wider insurance market which I thoroughly enjoyed. Show less

Throughout the summer of 2018 between the months of July to August, I was part of a 50-man team to run an array of activates for foreign student that came to the UK to learn English. I had an array of duties such as, making sure the children were in bed at the correct time to taking them on excursions to different parts of the country; some of which included Harry Potter World, Bristol and London. I enjoyed the experience very much and developed an array of skills to a very high level. During my year out, I worked for a Sound Company in Dubai, that has done the audio for some of the most prestigious events within the Middle East; Events ranging from the New Year firework celebration on the Burj Khalifa to opening of the newest clubs in the city. I helped, clean, organise and rewire the equipment making sure they were in top condition to perform. A very rewarding, yet physical internship which I learnt a lot of new physical skills from. During my three-day work experience with HQ Worldwide, an Event Management Agency based in Dubai. I shadowed the agency Art Director who was working on the Abu Dhabi “Mother of the Nation” Festival. The theme was ‘health and fitness’ for all ages at the festival. During the summer of 2013 I experienced a one week work experience at an architecture and interior design firm called “Artillery” in London. I shadowed and helped employees with day-to-day jobs and saw how the new tasks were assigned. Moreover, getting my first taste of what the office atmosphere is really like.
